the FirmSince 1991, David Mallison has provided specialty counsel in the areas of culture (museums), the arts (visual and performing arts), education (independent schools and other educational organizations), libraries and archives, biomedical research, and public health. The firm brings an understanding of New York and national philanthropy, and the individuals, families, foundations, corporations, businesses, and government resources that support it. David Mallison draws on an enormous range of professional fund raising experience with cultural and educational institutions in New York City and nationwide. As a full time development professional in New York City, he was director of development at Collegiate School (our nation’s oldest school) and South Street Seaport (a model $100 million (+) urban restoration project in a commercial setting). He was in charge of the public phase of the $60 million Carnegie Hall restoration campaign, and coordinator of a theatre renovation project with Helen Hayes. On a national level, he was vice president for development at Outward Bound USA and its separate fund raising programs in Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, Oregon, and North Carolina. David Mallison has two masters degrees (University of North Carolina and Columbia University), and a doctorate (Columbia University).
